Digital by Design (DxD) is created by N2 Learning (N2) and hosted at the Apple campus in Austin and the Cisco campus in Richardson. In collaboration with Alan November, DxD is designed to guide teams of educators through a process to promote a fearless learning culture that focuses on high-quality student work.

How many sessions are included and what are the topics?

Three, two-day sessions:

Session 1: Why?
On day 1, N2 will guide teams through an exploration of why creating and sustaining a digital, empowered, fearless learning culture that focuses on high-quality student work is critical. Apple representatives will facilitate sessions on productivity tools. On day 2, Alan November will discuss innovative leadership and technology integration. Teams will be challenged to pilot ideas before session 2.
Session 2: How?
During this 2-day session N2 will guide teams through the creation of a clear vision and cohesive plan for creating and sustaining a digital, empowered, fearless learning culture that focuses on high-quality student work. Some of the world’s best leadership and application examples will be discussed. Teams will share work in order to receive feedback and provide inspiration. They will be challenged to continue to pilot ideas and complete draft plans before session 3.
Session 3: Now What?
On day 1, Alan November will guide teams through a discussion of the importance of measurable indicators and evidence, and work with individual teams to review plans and provide feedback. On day 2, N2 will work with teams to develop measurable indicators and evidence for assessing the success of their vision and cohesive plan. Throughout the session, leadership support skills will be discussed.

Who Should Attend DxD?

  • Teams may be made up of district and/or campus administrators and teacher leaders
  • Recommend at least 1 district administrator, 1 campus administrator, 1 technology specialist, and 1 teacher leader on each team
  • Recommend maximum of 10 members per team; minimum of 4
  • Districts may send more than 1 team
  • Note: >Only number of team members is required at registration
