In his 34 years in education, Roy Garcia served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and central office administrator. He retired in June of 2023 as the Chief Officer for School Leadership in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD where he supported the health services, guidance and counseling, professional learning, and school leadership departments. His passion is growing leaders as he served as the coach and supervisor of the principals. Roy received his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University, his Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University, and his Superintendent Certification from Texas A&M University – Commerce.

Roy is a National Association of Elementary School Principals certified principal mentor, participated in the Texas Association of School Administrators Future-Ready Superintendent Leadership Institute, and a former board member and president of Texas ASCD. He currently serves on the Board of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, Cy-Hope, and B.I.G. Love Cancer Care.

Roy is a chief encouragement officer who continually reminds everyone of the positive influence we can have on others. He specializes in leadership development while building strong relationships.
